The magical flowers of the coconut trees are always striking against the green leaves. Known as one of the oldest flowering trees in the world the coconut is simultaneously or synchronously
monoecious. This means they bear both male and female flowers at the same time. The tiny male flowers look like lilies and the female flowers look like small coconuts. Both can be seen in this photo.
Flowering occurs continuously. This is a good thing because when the female flowers are pollinated it takes around 10 months to get coconuts.
Coconut flower nectar, is also used as Granulated nectar. This coconutsugar is a low fructose sweetener.
